Until the summer of 2017, Future was the hottest artist of the year. He notched several hit singles and dropped those two albums within a week of each other. Along with that “Mask Off” was one of 2017’s first hits, and getting Kendrick Lamar on it was a major win.
Back in 2014, Future decided to hit the reset button, returning to the mixtape scene, in the middle of his sophomore album promo. Despite having the “Move That Dope” success, Future didn’t like his second album. Because of that, he went in and created Beast Mode.
That mixtape was met with stronger reviews than Future’s actual album, that year. Also, this sparked a classic mixtape run that led up to Future releasing DS2 and his project with Drake. Now, there are rumors that Future has his Beast Mode 2 project coming, and he’s cleared his Instagram, which hints at something going on.
