Future’s “I Never Liked You” album reaches platinum eligibility

Future’s “I Never Liked You” goes platinum

Back in April, Future released one of the biggest projects of 2022. This was his ninth studio album, “I Never Liked You.” This went on to be his seventh straight number one studio album.

Fans received 22 songs on I Never Liked You, as it was led by the eventual chart-topping hit single “Wait For U,” featuring Drake and Tems. That collaboration has since become the fastest in 2022, to go 2x platinum. Other star-studded features on the album included Lil Durk 42 Dugg, Kodak Black, Kanye West, and more.

Now, I Never Liked You has reached another major milestone. According to Chart Data, it has sold over 1 million units in the US. This brings to platinum certification. At the time of its release, I Never Liked You had the biggest first week in sales, for an album, in 2022.

Future’s momentum rolled over into the summer as well, as Wait For U is still one of the biggest records in the US. Currently, it stands at number five, on the Billboard Hot 100. Future also went on to perform this record at the Rolling Loud Miami festival, in late July, as he was the headliner there, once again.
