Gangsta Boo reportedly passed away from drug overdose

On Sunday afternoon, news broke that legendary Three 6 Mafia rapper Gangsta Boo, passed away. She was only 43-years-old. At the time of Boo’s death, there was no official cause of death ruled.

However, according to TMZ, there are now more developments, in regards to Boo’s death. This was reportedly possibly due to a drug-related cause. On Saturday night, she attended a concert with her brother, in her hometown of Memphis. Her brother overdosed, and was treated at a local hospital.

Therefore, Boo also ended up overdosing, and found at her Memphis home. What reportedly caused this overdose is also said to have been due to a fentanyl-laced substance. Police are currently investigating this, as an autopsy has still yet to be conducted. Fans have since been paying homage to the Memphis legend, as this has been a shocking way to start 2023.

Last month, Gangsta Boo also appeared on Latto’s new “FTCU” single. This also included fellow Memphis superstar, GloRilla. Boo released three solo studio albums in her career, from 1998-2003. As part of Three 6 Mafia, she released six albums. Boo’s last project came back in 2018, which was her “Underground Cassette Tape Music 2″ mixtape, with Beatking.
