Gervonta Davis is one of boxing’s biggest stars right now, but unfortunately continues to have more serious legal woes. According to the Baltimore Banner and TMZ, he is serving the rest of his current 90-day sentence in jail. This is as a result of a home confinement violation.

Furthermore, a spokesperson for the State’s Attorney’s Office confirmed that Davis initially given an address for where he’d serve his home detention back at his sentencing, but ended up moving to a Four Seasons Hotel. Davis’ attorney attempted to claim that the initial home was too small, but permission was never granted. However, Davis also moved to another home, a week ago, without permission from a judge.

“As a result,” said the State Attorney’s Office spokesperson. Judge Handy ordered the defendant to serve the remainder of his home detention sentence at the Baltimore City Detention Center.”

Davis was booked on Thursday, at Baltimore Central Booking. This case stems from a November 2020 incident where he allegedly ran a red light and slammed into a Toyota. The victim was an injured pregnant woman, as Davis fled the scene.

Last month, a plea deal was reached, but Davis is already in jail. May 5 saw him initially agree to 90 days of house arrest and 200 hours of community service. This also comes a month after his impressive TKO win over Ryan Garcia, to remain undefeated.  In addition to this case, Davis recently had a domestic violence case dropped, involving his baby mama. She went on to recant her statement about the alleged abuse.
