Gucci Mane continues to deal with legal issues and other troubling circumstances, involving 1017 Records artists that he signs. Last month, Big Scarr died as a result of an apparent drug overdose. Scarr was only 22-years-old, and was one of Memphis’ biggest new rappers.

Now, Gucci’s latest 1017 Records signee is in trouble. According to TMZ, this is Mac Critter, another Memphis rapper who has now been arrested for a first-degree murder charge. This is as a result of a December 21 shooting, in Memphis. One person passed away, due to this incident.

Critter was arrested and booked into custody at the Shelby County Jail, on December 29. On Tuesday, a rep for Critter took to his Twitter page to say that he will be coming home soon, and it’s “small to a giant.”

Mac initially signed to Gucci, back in October. His debut single on 1017 was “Dawg,” which also featured Gucci.

Gucci also has another Memphis artist in prison, which is Pooh Shiesty. He was arrested back in the summer of 2021, due to a 2020 Miami shooting, involving a sneaker and drug deal gone wrong. Last spring, Shiesty was sentenced to over five years in prison.
