Gunna’s Walmart charity event gets canceled
Earlier this week, Gunna had social media buzzing, after he was able to be released from jail. That came after he plead guilty to one count of racketeering conspiracy. This led to a 5-year sentence, with one year in jail being counted for time served, and the rest of the four being a suspended sentence.
However, several other YSL members in the 56-count indictment also entered plea deals. This included YSL Co-Founder Walter Murphy, and rappers Lil Duke and Slimelife Shawty. There, they admitted that YSL is actually a gang.
Gunna also planned to give back to his hometown of Atlanta, in the College Park area, quickly. Sunday was supposed to have a Walmart gift card giveaway event, with Goodr. As a result, this was canceled by Walmart, due to security concerns. The City of South Fulton Police Department also went on to confirm this. $100 gift cards would’ve been handed out to 1,000 shoppers.
“As we had been working with Walmart to address security for the gift card giveaway that was to be hosted by Gunna and Goodr company on Sunday, we learned that Walmart has canceled the event,” said the South Fulton PD.”
