Though Maybach Music has a roster of artists that are from all over the world, the movement began in Miami. Initially, Rick Ross had himself, Gunplay, Torch, and Young Breed. They have grown significantly since then, but Maybach Music has not forgotten their roots.
Last year, Gunplay had breakout success, as he released his 601 & Snort mixtape, which gained him a major fan base. During the time of his mixtape release, Gunplay also got into the fight at the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards. Early in 2013, Gunplay beat his charges and dropped his Cops N Robbers mixtape.
Starting out his summer, Gunplay will be in New York City, where he will perform at the popular S.O.B.’s nightclub in New York City. The show is hosted by Power 105.1’s trio made of DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God. Gunplay will be headlining the show on June 12.
