H.E.R. currently has a ton of momentum right now as she is preparing for her debut studio album, “Back Of My Mind.” This project was announced last month and also released her “Come Through” single feat. Chris Brown during that time as well. Now. The R&B star is detailing how she, Kehlani, and Zendaya almost formed a band together.

H.E.R. is appearing at OZY Fest this weekend and spoke with OZY founder, Carlos Watson of “The Carlos Watson Show.” There, H.E.R. explained how this band almost came to be. This goes back to her time growing up in the Bay Area.

“Dylan Wiggins – who is D’wayne Wiggins’s son from Tony! Toni! Toné! – we used to be in a band together. We used to perform together when we were really young. Kehlani was actually in our band. We all used to sing together. Zendaya was going to be in it at one point. They all grew up together. I came into the picture in Oakland and we used to perform together.”
