The new “The Color Purple” film is set to be released on Christmas Day, as this is a remake of a classic novel. Moreover, one of the lead singles for the film’s soundtrack is also out, which is “Lifeline” by Alicia Keys.

Meanwhile, the full list of artists who are scheduled to appear on The Color Purple soundtrack has also now been revealed. Among those included will be H.E.R., Usher, Megan Thee Stallion, Chloe Bailey, Coco Jones, and much more. A collaboration between H.E.R. and Usher is also set to appear on the soundtrack, as well as a “special remix” for it, from Missy Elliott. Therefore, the full soundtrack will be released on December 15.

Furthermore, The Color Purple will also feature a star-studded cast. Viewers will be able to see Halle Bailey, Fantasia, Taraji P. Henson, Ciara, H.E.R., Danielle Brooks, Corey Hawkins, and even more. This film will be Bailey’s second of 2023, as she also starred in the highly anticipated “The Little Mermaid,” in May. This year also comes as Bailey began her solo career as an artist, and put out her debut solo single “Angel,” in August.
