Cardi B gets asked to go to homecoming dance while leaving court
Cardi B has been one of the biggest superstars in the music industry over the past five years, as she quickly established herself a a household name. Her diamond-certified “Bodak Yellow” single helped her break out in 2017, and hasn’t looked down, since.
Cardi’s fame has definitely reached the newer generation, as well. Per TMZ, Cardi recently left a court appearance in Santa Ana, CA, as a large group of high school students were waiting on her to leave the court room. One boy went on to ask Cardi if he’d come to a homecoming dance with him. Cardi didn’t reply to that request, but told all of the students that she’d take photos with them, once this legal case is over.
The case that Cardi is referring to, is the man in the cover of her 2016 “Gangsta Bitch Music Vol. 1” mixtape suing her. On the cover art, Cardi is seen drinking a Corona, while the man is going down on her. This man is Kevin Brophy, as this lawsuit was filed way back in 2017. He claims that he never gave Cardi approval to use this image of him, for the mixtape cover. He believes be’s been humiliated, and wants $5 million in damages.
