Instagram is down again and users take to Twitter to vent
Instagram defied incredible odds to become the most popular social networking app. After all, the giants were Facebook and Twitter. When Instagram was still in its infancy stages, Facebook acquired it. Being a part of Facebook helped Instagram grow to become the force that it is.
Instagram has faced some tough competition from newer apps, over the years. A few years ago, Snapchat gave Instagram a huge run for their money. In turn, Facebook and Instagram rolled out “Stories” to combat this. Since 2020, TikTok has been giving Instagram a very strong run for their money. As a result, Facebook and Instagram are promoting reels.
Instagram is always making changes, which lead to outages. The app is popular, so when Instagram goes down, their users head to other apps to see if its just them. As of press time, the HHV team was on Instagram searching for images. When we went to search, we noticed the results would not load. This led to the team simply searching “explore,” which led to the realization that Instagram is down. On Twitter, people are complaining about Instagram being down.
