Irv Gotti says women only want him for his money
Irv Gotti is no stranger to controversy, but he was once an industry powerbroker. For five years, Gotti produced countless hit singles for Ja Rule, Ashanti, Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige, Jay-Z, DMX, and a long list of others. During the height of his career, Irv even had 50 Cent requesting his instrumentals. Of course, that never happened. So much has transpired in Irv’s career, but he sold his catalog for $100 million. This weekend, he went on “Drink Champs” and he said he’s given up on true love.
Irv Gotti initially launched his comeback effort, in 2007. During that period of time, Irv seemingly had a lot going for him. First, Murder Inc. was relaunched and they had a label deal with Universal Motown. In addition, Lloyd dropped hisĀ Street Love album and it reached number one. The momentum was on their side and Ja Rule was preparing to launch his comeback. Along with that, Irv Gotti had a VH1 reality show, which aired for two seasons.
Irv Gotti made his return to “Drink Champs,” over this past weekend. During the interview, Irv touched on quite a bit. He reiterated a lot that he mentioned in the previous interview. First, he tried to explain why he spoke on Ashanti how he did. In addition, Irv spoke on the whole concept of love. Saying women only want him for his money, social media showed him no sympathy. People pointed out how he mistreated his wife and questioned why he deserved love.
