Jeezy’s divorce to Jeannie Mai due to family values & expectations
Last week, social media was buzzing heavily due to the announcement of Jeezy filling for divorce from Jeannie Mai. The two had been married for over two years, after initially dating since 2018. Furthermore, they also welcomed their first child together, in January of 2022.
Jeezy filed divorce paperwork at Fulton County Superior Court. The documents went on to state that the marriage is “irretrievably broken,” and that “there is no hope for reconciliation.”
Meanwhile, many wondered why Jeezy decided to pull the plug on his marriage to Mai. According to Entertainment Tonight, several factors were at play. Among them were “family values and expectations.”
“They had different views, and each felt like their needs weren’t being completely met,” said a source close to Entertainment Tonight.
Moreover, Mai is also linked to cheating rumors. Many believe that she cheated on Jeezy with TV host Mario Lopez. For Jeezy, he appears ready to move on, as one of his latest Instagram posts featured him posing in front of his Maybach, as his caption read “Too focused on who I’m becoming to focus on who’s not coming with me.”

Divorce! Really … Oh no no no ya don’t! Now that there’s a child involved that option is off the table! The very last thing the African American Male community needs is another representation of weakness like this! You are a Father now!
Your child deserves to have their father in the home as they grow up and face the challenges this cruel world already has for your Race! Now you want to tuck tail and run at the first cafuffle with the media rumor mill?!? Leave your new family, your defenseless child, during the get to know you stage? Oh no you don’t!
