Jimmy Butler is making his second appearance in the NBA Finals. Last year, he was one shot away from his return to the Finals. This season, the Miami Heat were far from regular season contenders. At 44-38, they fell into the play-in, just to make the playoffs. However, when they got in, Miami went to work. In the first round, they upset the first seeded Bucks. After that, they beat the Knicks and Celtics in upsetting fashion. In the NBA Finals, they have Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets, who won Game 1. After the game, Butler’s look on his face has people talking.

Jimmy Butler was a bit of a journeyman, before joining the Miami Heat. After spending his career with the Chicago Bulls, Butler was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves. In his lone season, Butler led them to their first playoff appearance in fourteen years. After that, joined the Philadelphia 76ers, losing in the second round of the 2019 playoffs. During the offseason, Jimmy signed with the Miami Heat, found a home, and became their franchise player.

Jimmy Butler led the Heat to the Finals in his first year with the team. They put up an unexpected good showing against those destined 2020 Lakers. Like 2020, the Heat are being counted out.
