There is a lot of usage within the Slaughterhouse camp. Publicly, the world watched Joe Budden overcome his addiction on “Love & Hip Hop” on VH1. While his case was not as severe, Joell Ortiz had issues with smoking and drinking. Like his group-mate, Joell Ortiz is trying to overcome.
Because of the Slaughterhouse run last summer, Joell Ortiz is firmly back in the spotlight and has a new solo project in the works. Seeing how well Joe Budden did when he returned to his solo career, Joell Ortiz has a new mixtape in the works. Joell Ortiz’ next mixtape is called Yaowa.
Recently, Joell Ortiz sat down with Hot 97 to provide an update on his work. He talked to the Real Late Sessions host, Peter Rosenberg. During the interview, Joell Ortiz revealed he was sober for the past eight months, he previewed his Yaowa mixtape, and talked about the next Slaughterhouse album.
