Kandi Burruss is a veteran on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” and the longest tenured member. The exposure of the show reintroduced Kandi to the spotlight. Fans had the chance to rediscover her. In many cases, fans got the chance to know her. With her business acumen, Kandi used this to build her business profile. This weekend, she heavily participated in the Grammys. When she did her ET interview, she revealed she’s actually leaving “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

Kandi Burruss joined RHOA in 2009, following the first season. Immediately, she became a fan favorite, and she used the platform to build her exposure. This took her from being a local Atlanta businesswoman to being a major figure in the entertainment world. Due to her songwriting, Kandi always was a fixture. Through the show, the world came to know her. However, she’s leaving after fourteen years, due to the hiatus the show took, in production.

After fourteen years, Kandi told ET she decided to leave “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” In the end, Kandi said she’s been doing the show for so long and she continued out of habit. The break from the show led her to believe it’s time for her to move on.
