On his latest album, Yeezus, Kanye West is turning up the controversy. A weird statement, within itself, Kanye West has gone all out. First, the title of the album rhymes with the name of one of the biggest religious figures and the first single, “New Slaves,” is controversial within itself.
In premiering the new music off Yeezus, Kanye West has done something no rapper has ever done before. Instead of taking to the radio, television, or internet, Kanye West hit the streets. Kanye West literally hit the streets with his new music, projecting his songs off buildings.
Kanye West planned another screening in Houston on the Rothko Chapel, but law enforcement ended it before it even began. People there to watch the event were threatened to be arrested for trespassing. In Baltimore, the screening was cancelled because the proper permits were not allowed.
