Kanye West’s Donda Academy reopens, hours after saying it’d be closed, for remainder of school year
Donda Academy reopens after announcing closing
In the aftermath of Kanye West’s anti-Semitic comments, his Donda Academy school closed, in the early hours of Thursday morning. They revealed that this would be for the remainder of the school year, in an email sent to parents. Donda Academy’s principal initially said “At the discretion of our founder, Donda Academy will close for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year effective immediately.”
Kanye also confirmed that Donda Academy was closing, on Instagram. That post went on to be deleted. However, it now looks like the school is changing its mind. In a new email sent to parents, four hours later, they apparently went on to hold a worship “for the return of Donda Academy, according to TMZ. The school’s original email stated that they’d return in September 2023.
“The children of Donda are going to change the world,” the email added. “Apologies for the late email! See you bright and early!”
However, Kanye has been getting canceled all week, due to his anti-Semitism. He’s been dropped by adidas, Balenciaga, CAA, and more. Skechers even turned him away, when suddenly showing up at their headquarters.
