Kanye West’s “The College Dropout” reaches number 11 on Billboard 200

Kanye West has been creating a lot of controversy lately, with his Instagram activity. He’s been dissing his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian’s boyfriend, which is Pete Davidson. He’s also been getting plenty of backlash, for burying an animated version of the “SNL” star, in his new “Eazy” music video.

At the same time, Kanye is buzzing with his new Netflix docuseries, “Jeen-Yuhs.” These episodes have gone over various points in Ye’s career, including releasing his debut studio album. This was “The College Dropout,” in 2004, as it was a massice success.

The College Dropout became the first of 10 consecutive number one albums, for Kanye. Now, it is charting like it is 2004 all over again. On this week’s Billboard 200 chart, The College Dropout is at the number 11 position, per Chart Data. This is a 25-spot increase from last week, and is at its highest position, since 2004.

The College Dropout featured some of the biggest hits of 2004, such as “Jesus Walks,” “All Falls Down,” ft. Syleena Johnson, “Slow Jamz,” ft. Twista and Jamie Foxx, and “Through The Wire.” Kanye collaborated with other stars such as Ludacris, Jay Z, Mos Def, and more.
