See, this was the Charlotte Hornets everybody expected back when we did the article about this team being the real deal. After the 2015 season, a season this year was looking too much like, Kemba Walker said he was tired of not being in the playoffs. Then, last year happened.
Kemba Walker improved his play and people thought he was snubbed for an All-Star spot and the Most Improved Player award. This year, early on, Kemba was an MVP favorite. Too bad the Hornets blew all of those games, though.
But, since March, the Hornets have slowly started playing better and now just beat the Thunder in Oklahoma City. The most-impressive part is how they withstood 40 points from Russell Westbrook, with Kemba Walker putting 29 up countering that. In the end, the Hornets won, and it looks like they’re serious about doing the playoffs after all.
