Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell’s “Good Burger 2” begins filming in Rhode Island [PHOTOS]

Kenan Thompson & Kel Mitchell begin “Good Burger 2” production 

A few months ago, Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell revealed that they sequel to the classic 1997 “Good Burger” film is coming this year. The actors announced this during an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Thompson and Mitchell added that production would begin in two months. “Good Burger 2” will be available on Paramount+.

Meanwhile, the production set for Good Burger 2 has started, according to TMZ. Filming reportedly began on Thursday, in Providence, RI, at 8AM. The Good Burger restaurant for the film was set up in a vacant Friendly’s ice cream shop. A nearby wall also had Good Burger spray paint on it. However, Thompson and Mitchell haven’t been spotted on set, just yet.

Thompson and Mitchell delivered a memorable performance in the original Good Burger film, 26 years ago. Many were surprised to hear that a sequel would be on the way, due to if it would do as well as the original. However, a large portion of fans are very much still looking forward to what Good Burger 2 delivers on Paramount+,
