Kevin Durant says Future’s “I Never Liked You” is album of the year

2022 was another amazing year for Future. In April, he released his ninth studio album, “I Never Liked You.” That project contained one of the biggest hits of the year, which was the chart-topping “Wait For U” collaboration with Drake and Tems. I Never Liked You also went on to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.

Future had 22 tracks on I Never Liked You in total, including the deluxe edition. He also collaborated with fellow stars such as Lil Baby, Kanye West, Kodak Black, and more. The album as well as Wait For U, have since earned six 2023 Grammy nominations. This includes best Best Rap Album, Best Melodic Rap Performance, and Best Rap Song.

I Never Liked You continues to receive praises, including from Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant. In a recent appearance on Boardroom, KD claims that I Never Liked You is the album of the year, for 2022. He added that on the initial release, Future went 16/16 on every song.
