In the 2017 NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors were not messing around. After dealing with a whole year’s worth of jokes about blowing the 3-1 lead to the Cleveland Cavaliers, they made changes. As soon as free agency started, they signed Kevin Durant.
Known for his time with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Durant led that team to the 2012 Finals, losing to LeBron James’ Miami Heat. That series defined KD’s career for the next five years. Pairing him with the frustrated Warriors, Steph, Draymond, and Klay spelled doom.
