Before his death, King Von was the most-promising rapper in the game. Not only was he taking over the Chicago hip hop scene, he was taking over all of rap. At the time, Lil Durk was transitioning from being an artist to being an executive.
King Von slowly began building his momentum, around three years ago. After a solid run, in 2019, Von set himself up to have a very strong run. In 2020, he began establishing himself, truly, as one of the top artists in the game, with all of his songs topping the charts.
In the middle of his run, King Von was murdered, in Atlanta, shocking the world. Since then, people have mourned him, and a mural was painted, in his honor, in Chicago. The police have been trying to remove the mural, because of Von’s alleged gang ties, and his fans have created a petition to keep that from happening.
