Kobe Bryant’s parents auction off his championship ring
A one of a kind collectable is now available for purchase from the highest bidder. In a shocking discovery, news quickly spread that beloved NBA player Kobe Bryant’s first Los Angeles Lakers NBA championship ring is up for auction. Although insane, the most surprising part is that Kobe Bryant’s parents Joe and Pamela Bryant are the ones who placed the ring for auction. Currently the 2000 championship ring is available on the auction site Goldin.com
Kobe Bryant is one of the most iconic American professional basketball players to ever touch the court. With a career spanning more than two decades his impact is ever lasting. Winning five NBA championships with the LA Lakers, playing in more than 18 NBA All-Star games and a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame, his legacy is massive. In addition to his incredible talent, he was an advocate for the WNBA, and won both an Academy Award and Oscar for his 2018 short film Dear Basketball.
Although Kobe was a family man himself, that wasn’t the case when it came to him and his parents. Throughout the years Kobe has gifted his parents his personal items, which in return they auctioned. In the past, the constant battle over selling his memorabilia lead to legal disputes with his parents. Kobe’s ring is currently valued at $94,000 via Goldin.com’s website. The bidding will remain open until Saturday, March 30th.
