Kodak Black denied drug treatment request to get out of jail
Kodak Black has been back in even more legal issues, this month. Back on December 7, he was arrested and put in jail, as a result of cocaine possession. Moreover, the Florida rapper even decided to swallow the cocaine that he had, in order to avoid any arrest by police.
However, Kodak’s decision backfired, as he went on to be charged with cocaine possession and tampering with physical evidence. Meanwhile, Kodak and his legal team have since been attempting to get him a drug treatment program which would help him get released and avoid further time of being incarcerated.
Meanwhile, Kodak’s request has now been shut down by a judge, according to the Miami Herald. Judge Jacqueline Becerra claimed tha “If you’re buying drugs or using drugs, you’re a danger to the community.” Therefore, Kodak will have to wait until his next court appearance, on January 9.
This case comes after Kodak also had a huge drug possession case in Florida, in July 2022. At that time, he possessed over 30 oxycodone pills, which were said to have been obtained illegally. Kodak also had $50,000 in cash in his car.
