LAPD under fire for beating the life out of a Black man
In Los Angeles, there is outrage following the police department fatally beating a man. Over the years, the Los Angeles Police Department has faced tons of backlash. To begin 2023, the Los Angeles Police Department has some controversial situations on their hands. However, the situation with this man, Keenan Anderson, is leading to public outrage. The man was approached by the police, he told them he was running for his life, and after they were done, he laid lifeless on the street.
Keenan Anderson was in Downtown Los Angeles, but he was living in Washington, DC. In DC, he was actually working as a teacher. In addition, Anderson is the cousin of one of the Black Lives Matter organization’s co-founders. However, Anderson’s life came to an untimely end on January 3. Now, the horrific details surrounding his passing have leaked to the news. As a result, there are people now speaking out against Los Angeles’ police department.
When Keenan Anderson was approached by the law, he told them he was running for his life. The police officers repeatedly told Anderson to stop running. After he continued to run, the police began to taser him. However, once they got him on the ground, Anderson screamed “they are trying to George Floyd me.” After that, Anderson laid lifeless on the ground. According to the police, Anderson had substances in his system.
