Latto continues to win big, after soaring to stardom, in 2020. That year, the Atlanta rapper broke out with her “B*tch From Da Souf” remix, which included two huge features from Saweetie and Trina. Latto’s debut album, “Queen Of Da South,” was also released, at the end of 2020.

2021 saw Latto become an even bigger household name. Her “Big Energy” single peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and is 2x platinum in the US. This past spring, the remix also featured the iconic Mariah Carey and DJ Khaled. Big Energy also went on to appear on Latto’s “777” album in the spring, which saw a number 15 debut, on the Billboard 200.

Latto is also now trending, due to a false report from a Pop Base parody page. It claimed that Lil Wayne denied Latto’s requests to sample his 2008 smash hit single, “Lollipop.” On Twitter, Latto denied this being the case, as she supposedly doesn’t even have a song that sampled Lollipop.

This month, Latto has been no stranger to Twitter trending topics. She was also involved in a huge beef with her longtime idol, Nicki Minaj. That came after Nicki didn’t like that “Super Freaky Girl” was placed in pop Grammy submissions, but Big Energy wasn’t.
