Latto subliminally disses Nicki Minaj at Coachella
Latto has definitely brought a lot of energy into the game. She is one of an endless number of women taking over the rap game. Like all the others, Latto was compared to Nicki Minaj. In a major sense of irony, Latto also ended up getting into beef with Nicki. This follows Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion. But unlike the others, Latto is also dissing Nicki on her songs. Recently, she debuted a song at Coachella, and had lines people assumed are for Nicki.
Latto is actually a veteran in the game, but her start was different. The world first got to know her as a teenager. When Latto was a kid, she was on Lifetime’s “The Rap Game.” Seeing how far she has come is almost funny. There were several rappers on the show, many of whom received more attention than Latto. However, close to a decade later, she is the only person from the show to actually reach any true level of stardom.
Latto doing Coachella is a testament to how far she’s come. The fact that people think she is dissing Nicki Minaj shows what level of fame she is at. However, because she didn’t call Nicki out by name, it can’t be confirmed that she was dissing her. The context, though, throwing the line about an unnamed female thinking she would kiss her behind, followed by a mention of the unnamed female being off her meds sounds like a jab at Nicki.
