Lauryn Hill announces tour for 25th anniversary of debut album
Lauryn Hill is regarded as one of the most iconic rappers of all-time, even with only one studio album ever released. That was “The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill,” which was released back in 1997.
As a result, that project went on to debut at number one in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. 16 songs were released, as it was headlined by Hill’s biggest hit of all-time. “Doo Wop (That Thing.)” That record also reached number one on the Billboards Hot 100 chart. Currently, The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill is also certified Diamond by the RIAA, in the US.
Meanwhile, Lauryn Hill has also just announced a The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill 25th anniversary. Furthermore, these dates will include her Fugees collaborators from the 1990s. The first show of the tour will kick off on September 8, in Minneapolis, MN. The dates will run until November 9, as the tour will conclude in Seattle, WA.
The announcement of this tour also comes after Lauryn Hill performed at Nas and Mass Appeal’s Hip-Hop 50 concert at Yankee Stadium, on August 11. She joined Nas on stage at the end of the night, and even performed their classic “If I Ruled The World” collaboration.
