Currently, Lauryn Hill and the Fugees are venturing on their “The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill” 25th Anniversary Tour. The tour is named after Hill’s 1998 debut studio album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. That album debuted at number one in the United States, on the Billboard 200 chart. Moreover, that project was led by her hit single, “Doo Wop (That Thing),” and was the only studio album of her career.

Furthermore, this tour of Hill’s initially kicked off on September 8, in Minneapolis, after previously being delayed. Her latest show came on Saturday night, as it was held in Los Angeles, inside the Kia Forum. While Lauryn is considered one of the all-time greats, she isn’t perfect. Fans who have gone to see her live often complain about her being late to her shows.

As a result, Lauryn Hill went on to speak on the critics who always bash her for consistently being late to her concerts. In her defense, she claimed that fans are lucky that she shows up at all, due to her passion for it.

“They say, ‘Oh, she’s late’ and ‘She’s late tonight.’ Yo, y’all lucky I make it on this … stage every night. I leave my soul on this stage. And I don’t do it because they let me. I do it because I stand here in the name of God. And I know it. God is the one who allows me to do it, who surrounded me with family and community when there was no support when the album sold so many records and no one showed up and said, ‘Hey, would you like to make another one?’”
