It’s been over three and a half years, since Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed, in his hometown of Los Angeles. He has since been recognized as one of the biggest artists to come out of the west coast. Nipsey also consistently gave back to his local communities.
Now, a Nipsey docuseries is also on the way, according to Deadline. This is in partnership between LeBron James and Maverick Carter’s Springhill and Hussle’s Marathon Films. As a result, this project will detail Nipsey’s upbringing, all the way up to the massive success of his, as an artist. Therefore, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Diddy, and Lauren London are among those who will speak on Nipsey in this docuseries, as well.
“It’s an incredible honor for SpringHill to have a part in sharing Nipsey’s story and legacy with the world,” said LeBron in a statement. “He used his gift to give back to his community and lived what it means to inspire, empower, and uplift others along the way. His words, his ambition, and his actions stick with me to this day as he continues to inspire myself, our company, and people everywhere.”
As of now, there is no official title or release date, for this docuseries. However, a trailer for it has been unveiled, which is drawing plenty of anticipation.
However, this past spring, Eric Holder was finally convicted of first-degree murder, for the shooting death of Nipsey. Holder initially committed this act, in front of Nip’s The Marathon Clothing store. His sentencing has since been postponed.
