Lil Durk and G Herbo handshake turned to handholding on stage
Lil Durk has had an incredible run, over the past eleven years. Out of the countless Chicago rappers to emerge in 2012, Durk outlasted them. Not only did Durk have a longer run, he rose to the top of the rap game. Similarly, G Herbo was a part of the 2014 wave, immediately co-signed by Nicki Minaj. Together, they are the hottest current rappers from Chicago. Their performance, last night, has people talking, as their handshake got a little awkward.
Lil Durk ended up going through some issues with his contract, early in his career. As a result, Durk took a hiatus from the game. During this time, he reinvented himself as an executive in the game. Already, Lil Durk had his OTF crew, which he represented, and they had a roster. However, Durk turned the crew into an actual label, and secured a deal with Alamo Records. Initially, Lil Durk was only doing music to put the focus on his artists. After that, he soon saw his music rise to the top, on par with Drake.
Lil Durk recently had a show and he was performing with G Herbo. The two have a history, going way back in Chicago. During their concert, they had a moment which has gone viral. They were performing one of their collaborations, and it has people talking. As rappers do, when they perform a song together, they ended up giving each other dap. However, when they went for the handshake, and they ended up holding each other’s hand for an extended period.
