Lil Kim performs with mascot at WNBA finals

The 2023 WNBA Finals are underway with the New York Liberty beating the Las Vegas Aces in Game 3. That game took place Sunday at Barclays Center in New York. As fans filled the stadium, they received a special treat with Lil Kim hitting center stage. During her performance the New York Liberty mascot, joined her imitating her iconic dance moves.

When it comes to longevity and originality Lil Kim takes the title with no hesitation. After being discovered by The Notorious B.I.G in the early 90’s, Lil Kim redefined the female rap artist persona. As an original member of the rap group Junior M.A.F.I.A, her following grew tremendously. Lil Kim ventured out as a solo artist, releasing her debut album Hardcore in 1996. The now platinum album, brought singles like “No Time,” “Not Tonight,” and “Crush On You.” She followed up with the albums The Notorious K.I.M. and La Bella Mafia, both of which are platinum. Other chart topping singles like “Lady Marmalade,” “Jump Off ” and “Magic Stick” all proved Lil Kim’s undeniable talent.

During her halftime show, she performed fan favorites like “Lighters Up,” and other singles as fans cheered along. Check out a clip of the performance below.
