Lil Nas X previews F-ck BET song with NBA Youngboy
The nominations for the 2022 BET Awards were revealed last week, as Lil Nas X didn’t receive any. This was also the case for his 2021 chart-topping hit single, “Industry Baby,” featuring Jack Harlow. Lil Nas X has since been ranting on Twitter, about BET not giving “Industry Baby” its due respect. Also, Lil Nas X explained that if he can win a Grammy, he should be able to get a BET Award nomination. “Industry Baby” initially appeared on Nas X’s debut album, “Montero,” last fall.
Lil Nas X is now taking his bitterness towards BET to another level. On Tuesday, Lil Nas X previewed a song that he has, which is titled “F*ck BET.” In addition to dissing BET, Lil Nas X revealed that this song will feature NBA Youngboy. Lil Nas X also claimed that his BET Awards nominations snub, is due to homophobia in the Black community.
Lil Nas X has been one of the more popular rising artists of the past three years.
BET ended up releasing a statement, to Variety, about Lil Nas X dissing them. They emphasized that nobody from BET themselves, votes on the awards.
