In the mid-2010s, Lil Tay became a major viral social media personality. At the time, she was nine-years-old, and constantly showed off a lot of money, as well as cars.
However, tragic news was revealed on Wednesday, as Tay has reportedly passed away, at the very young age of 14. Furthermore, details surrounding her passing are still unclear. The passing of Tay was officially confirmed by her family on her Instagram feed. Tay’s last IG post was way back in June 2018, back when she was paying tribute to the late XXXTentacion. Tay taking a hiatus was reportedly due to backlash of her brother getting her to smoke.

Her brother’s passing adds an even more unimaginable depth to our grief. During this time of immense sorrow, we kindly ask for privacy as we grieve this overwhelming loss, as the circumstances surrounding Claire and her brother’s passing are still under investigation.”
