Lil Wayne’s Metro Metro set ends early due to arriving late
The Metro Metro festival took place in Montreal, QB, over the past weekend. Three days of concerts were held, which included performances from Lil Wayne, Coi Leray, BIA, Lil Baby, Jack Harlow, Metro Boomin and much more.
However, Lil Wayne’s performance didn’t go so well. He was reportedly set to perform at 10PM, but arrived late, at 10:45. As a result, he was only able to perform for 15 minutes. That is as a result of the local 11PM curfew that’s put into place. As that performance was ending, though, fans in Montreal were still chanting “Weezy! Weezy!”
“We apologize for Lil Wayne‘s abbreviated performance,” said Metro Metro fest in a statement. “He arrived at the festival at 10:45 and curfew is at 11.
Wayne has definitely not been pleasing fans, when it comes to latest performances. He cut the final show of his “Welcome To Tha Carter” Tour in Los Angeles early, after thinking fans weren’t energetic enough. Furthermore, Wayne also canceled the Atlanta date of his tour, over a month ago, due to “unforeseen circumstances.” This comes as Wayne has claimed that his “Tha Carter VI” album is on the way.
