Earlier this week, there were reports about “The Real” being cancelled. The news came at a tough time, as Wendy Williams and Nick Cannon’s talk shows have also been cancelled. Since 2013, “The Real” has been one of the most popular daytime talk shows.

Despite “The Real” being popular, the show has dealt with tons of controversy. In 2016, Tamar Braxton shockingly left the show. Initial reports said she was fired, but rumors suggested her then-husband tried to negotiate a deal, and it backfired.

Back then, there were rumors of Loni Love and Tamar Braxton having beef. The situation was tense and the resolution came through guest hosts. At different times, Kandi Burruss and Joseline Hernandez were rumored to take Tamar Braxton’s place. Ultimately, Garcelle Beauvais would take Tamar’s seat on the panel, but then longtime host, Tamera Mowry, decided to leave the show. These past two seasons have seen Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon, the aforementioned Beauvais, and Jeannie Mai as the co-hosts. In response to the rumors, Loni Love spoke out.

Loni Love said she spoke to producers, who have said they haven’t heard anything yet. With that being said, Loni Love said they are working on just completing season eight of “The Real.”
