While he began his career in the early 1950s, Gossett didn’t break through until the 1980s. However, the sacrifices he made did lead to an award-winning career. This morning, news broke of Gossett’s passing at the age of 87.
Louis Gossett, Jr. began his breakthrough in the late 1970s. In 1981, he made a guest appearance on the series, “Palmerstown, USA.” Despite this just being a cameo appearance, Gossett received a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama series. After that, Louis Gossett, Jr. began a slow journey to an overall iconic career.
