After being placed on a four year hiatus, Lupe Fiasco returned in 2011 with a new album and did the same in 2012. Holding the game down for two summers, fans had gotten used to seeing Lupe Fiasco drop an album every year again. This year will be the first since 2010 that Lupe Fiasco will not release an album.
However, 2014 will not end without Lupe Fiasco releasing his fifth studio album, which is called Tetsuo & Youth. Initially, the album was due this past summer, but the release dates continued to change. Tetsuo & Youth is going to take a drastic turn from the previous Lupe Fiasco albums.
Recently, Lupe Fiasco visited San Diego and he stopped by Jammin’ Z90, where he talked about his upcoming album. Departing from his politically-charged topics, Lupe Fiasco is going for something people should appreciate more. Lupe Fiasco said his new album is going to be “ratchet.”
