The R&B star recently signed with 1501, and put out her “Daddy” single, right before Christmas. Currently, “Daddy” is one of the most-popular buzzing records. The song has caught the attention of the heavy hitters.
Martina Marie also went viral last month, when she had Instagram in a frenzy, over calling herself “Martina Snow.” Because of this fans believed she was comparing herself to fellow 1501 star, Megan Thee Stallion, but maintained that she’s simply herself. This is after calling herself “Thee Martina Marie” and “Ok ok y’all got that… but it’s still giving Martina Snow.” The fans are still accusing her of comparing herself to Megan.
Recently, Martina Marie spoke to Hip-HopVibe.com, at 1501’s Atlanta media mixer event. She discussed the success of her “Daddy” single, how she ended up signing to 1501, releasing her EP around Valentine’s Day, and more. Marie’s previous full-length project came back in 2019, with F.E.E.L.S. Now, she is preparing to make her debut on a much larger platform. 1501 has a track record of breaking stars and Martina Marie seems like the next one.
