Mase laughs about Dwight Howard being outed
Mase once dominated the rap game, but he has now found new life as a podcaster. This podcast, which is called “It Is What It Is,” with Cam’ron has reunited the Harlem duo. Instead of covering music, they mostly cover sports. Since they’re real life childhood friends, all they do is clown the news of the day. In this Dwight Howard situation, they’ve been doing a lot of laughing. But, Mase’s commentary is owning the internet.
Mase rose to fame in the late 1990s and was poised to dominate the 2000s. However, in the middle of the promo for his second album, he retired from the game. This was the first high profile rap retirement and Mase was gone for five years. During his time away from the game, he ended up taking on the role of a pastor in an Atlanta church. As a result, when he returned to the game, he was initially a positive and gospel rapper.
Mase has offered commentary about Dwight Howard’s situation. According to court documents, Howard has admitted to meeting a man from Instagram and hooking up with him. As a result, this has led to him being essentially pulled out of the closet. In response, Mase said people need to stop saying what a person does in private doesn’t matter, when it does. He went onto say that Dwight didn’t get signed to an NBA team, this summer, because of this.
