Over a week ago, Tory Lanez was officially sentenced to 10 years in prison. This came as a result of his three convictions of felonies for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in July 2020. Tory’s trial concluded back in December. However, Tory did receive almost a year credited for time served.
As a result, Tory went on to release a statement on Instagram, where he continued to claim that he was wrongfully convicted. Furthermore, the Toronto rapper emphasized that he will overcome this obstacle, like he has with others. Therefore, Tory will appeal the sentencing, but this is likely to be denied.
Meanwhile, Megan Thee Stallion’s full statement regarding Tory’s sentencing has now been revealed, according to legal reporter Meghann Cuniff. Megan previously emphasized that she hasn’t been at peace at all, since the shooting. In addition to this, the statement also claimed that Tory paid media outlets to bash her.
“I have been tormented and terrorized in every degree by the defendant. He not only shot me, he made a mockery of my trauma. He tried to position himself as a victim and set out to destroy my character and my soul.”
