As a New Yorker, it’s hard to see New York hip hop getting ragged on the way it was in 2013. Especially, this was hard to digest, when looking back at the 1990s, when hip hop was ruled by Jay-Z and Roc-A-Fella Records. This included Memphis Bleek and the rest of the camp.
Memphis Bleek is probably the most-loyal figure in hip hop of all-time and he is always right by Jay-Z’s side. This was evidenced when Memphis Bleek began beefing with Nas and Jay-Z took the battle on. Of course, the beef is known more for being Jay-Z and Nas, but Memphis Bleek continued playing a major part.

Even though it’s going on two decades since Jay-Z and Nas squared off, the topic is still one of hip hop’s most-popular.
