Mozzy turns himself in, to serve 1-year prison sentence, for 2021 federal gun case

Mozzy to serve 1-year prison sentence for 2021 gun case

Over the past five years, Mozzy has been establishing himself as one of the hottest rappers out of California. The Sacramento native has also been very consistent with his mixtape and album releases.

Last week, Mozzy also released his new  “Survivor’s Guilt” album, which included his latest hit single, “In My Face.” That featured Saweetie, YG, and 2 Chainz. This all comes after Mozzy signed with Yo Gotti’s CMG record label, back in February.

Now, Mozzy is dealing with some serious legal woes. According to the Daily Loud, he has turned himself in for a January 2021 gun case. He will be serving one year in prison. At the time of Mozzy’s arrest, it was during a traffic stop in Culver City, CA. Police initially smelled marijuana inside his car.

Mozzy was soon found to have been in possession of Glock 26, 16 rounds of 9mm ammunition, and marijuana. He went on to write a letter to a judge, about the mistake he made, in this case.

“This case made me realize that everything I have accomplished and built can be taken away because of a single mistake or lapse in judgement. I once read that, ‘a stumble may prevent a fall.’ I believe this was my ‘stumble’ which will prevent me from taking a ‘fall’. I think I needed something like this to give a little more structure to my life.”
