Nicki Minaj beefs with Latto on Twitter
On Thursday night, Nicki Minaj engaged in another beef, with a fellow female rapper. This is due to her chart-topping “Super Freaky Girl” single wasn’t placed in rap categories, for upcoming 2023 Grammys submissions. Instead, it was placed in pop categories, due to it being viewed as a pop record, despite it topping rap charts.
Nicki soon took to Twitter to say that Latto’s “Big Energy” single should be placed in these pop categories, as well. That came as Nicki said that she doesn’t mind Super Freaky Girl being in this category, but Big Energy should be there, too.
“I have no prob being moved out the RAP category as long as we r ALL being treated FAIRLY. If SFG has 2B moved out RAP then so does Big Energy! ANY1 who says diff is simply a Nicki hater or a troll. I’d actually LUV 2 c a more street record win- male OR female! IJS rightIsRight.”
Latto also addressed being subtweeted by Nicki, for months. This comes as Latto expressed countless times before, how big of a Nicki fan that she’s always been.
Nicki ended up subliminally dissing Latto in another tweet, by calling her a “Karen” and “scratch off.” She also claimed that Latto doesn’t speak up for Black women who she calls her biggest inspiration. Nicki even went on to claim that she denied feature requests, from Latto.
