Since 2009, Nicki Minaj has remained one of the biggest figures in the rap game. Almost instantly, the media pit her and Lil’ Kim against each other. Early on, Nicki Minaj paid homage to Lil’ Kim, who often threw shots at her.
Later on, Lil’ Kim, who had the support of Ray J, revealed she was supposed to consult with Nicki via Cash Money Records. After an initial meeting, the Nicki Minaj of today was born. Due to this, Lil’ Kim felt a slight, but she has since moved on.
However, since Remy Ma has been out of prison, the media tried pitting her and Nicki Minaj against each others. Rap fans were fortunate enough that Remy took the bait, as she offered one of the biggest diss records in recent history. Nicki Minaj’s response was “No Frauds” with Lil Wayne and Drake, for which the video dropped, and she had fun behind the scenes, calling herself the “queen of rap,” which she often does on raps.
