Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice and Aqua’s “Barbie World” goes gold
Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice and Aqua currently have one of the biggest records out, with “Barbie World.” This appeared on the soundtrack for the new “Barbie” film, which was released on Friday, as well as its soundtrack. The Barbie movie saw a massive success in its first week, as it earned $155 million in the first three days of domestic ticket sales.
Meanwhile, the Barbie World record also still has a lot of momentum. This was released last month, and has just reached another major milestone. It is at gold certification eligibility by the RIAA in the US, according to Chart Data. This comes after selling over 500,000 units. Currently, Barbie World stands at number 49 in the US, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Furthermore, this is the second collab between Nicki and Ice, since April. At the time, Nicki appeared on Ice’s “Princess Diana” remix, which debuted at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
17 songs are included on the Barbie album soundtrack, in total. In addition to Nicki, Ice, and Aqua, there were also plenty of other star-studded features. Among them were Lizzo, Dua Lipa, Kali, Khalid, Billie Eilish, and more.
