Nicki Minaj’s brother, Jelani Maraj, has been battling a child rape case for a few now and he has finally been sentenced. He was facing charges of predatory sexual assault against a child and endangering the welfare of a child. This was disgustingly his 11-year-old stepdaughter when he committed the crime as well.
Maraj didn’t receive any mercy as he will be serving 25 to life in prison today, according to TMZ. The trial went down in Nassau County, New York. It spanned over three weeks as the Nassau County D.A. hopes that this verdict gives the family of the victim the proper healing.
Nicki never appeared in court to testify regarding the case. She hasn’t spoken much on it in general as she’s been living her best life with her new husband, Kenneth Petty, who has been criticized for being a convicted murderer and rapist. He was convicted for attempted rape of a 16-year-old. It’s great that the child in Maraj’s case finally received justice.
