Nikola Jokic shoved the owner of the Phoenix Suns

Nikola Jokic is one of the most dominant players in the NBA and a multiple MVP winner. In the regular season, Jokic dominates. However, in the playoffs, Jokic and the Nuggets normally fall apart. Last season, they failed to find much consistency. As a result, they fell to the sixth seed. In turn, they ran into a determined Golden State Warriors’ team, who beat them in the first round. This year, they are the West’s top team, but the Phoenix Suns are giving them trouble. When going for a loose ball, Jokic ended up putting hands on the Suns’ owner.

Nikola Jokic has faced criticism over his multiple MVP awards. Kendrick Perkins questioned why the criteria is different for different kinds of players, in terms of MVPs. Perkins’ argument was in favor of Joel Embiid winning the award, as he and Jokic’s careers somewhat parallel. Ultimately, Embiid would win the MVP for the 2023 season. Meanwhile, both Jokic and Embiid are currently tied 2-2 in the second round.

Nikola Jokic grew frustrated during the Denver Nuggets’ road game against the Phoenix Suns in Game 4. The Suns’ Kevin Durant and Devin Booker got it together and won Game 4. As a result, the series is tied 2-2. With that being the case, Jokic was doing all he could to prevent it from happening. When he went for a loose ball, the ball wound up in Suns’ owner, Mat Ishbia’s hands. To get it out, Jokic ended up shoving him.
